Our horses are linebred to Crabbet and Polish bloodlines, in particular, Ferzon and *Bask. Our most successful horse in the show ring to date was Basks Sachet + (Bask El Amigo X Sarragon) (1987 - 2003). Sachet was shown in Pleasure Driving, Pleasure Driving AOTD, Country Pleasure Driving, Country Pleasure Driving AOTD, and earned her 75 Legion of Honor points almost exclusively in amateur driving classes at the regional level. Shown from 1990 to 2000, with a couple of years off for "maternity leave," Sachet won seven Top Fives, three Reserve Championships, and two Championships. In 2001, we celebrated her Legion of Honor award with a gala awards ceremony at the Badger Class A Show in Milwaukee. Her first of four foals, Dahbans Double Up (by NTC Tai Pan), has claimed a Top Five in Country Pleasure Driving AOTD. Her last foal, Sachets Metaphor (by NTC Bronzebybey), foaled a handsome grey colt in June, 2006. This "trotty" gelding is sensible, compact, and pretty and was shown at the September 2007 Arabian Futurity Festival, winning over $650 in the MAAB Select Futurity Colt/Gelding class. Metaphor was bred to our stallion, A Bit of Flash, and foaled a colt in 2008 and a filly in 2009.
Sachet's half sister, DBA Celebration (Bask El Amigo X Egwi Starlite), is the dam of five handsome bay colts, three of them by Mr. Cognac Bey (Moonlight Bey ++ X Cognique). Salute to Bask+, the eldest of the three, foaled in 2000, won five of his six futurity halter classes. Started under saddle in 2005, he was shown under saddle for the first time at the WDHA Dressage & Sport Horse Show, taking four dressage ribbons at Training Level with scores ranging from 61% to 64%. In 2006, he won a Region 10 Top Five in Dressage at Training level. In 2007, he took another Top 5 at Training Level and was named Champion at First Level. In 2008, he repeated his championship at First Level and took a Top Five at Second Level. By the end of the year, he earned enough points in the AHA Horse Achievement Award program to add that coveted "+" behind his name; and Salute to Bask+ was named USEF Horse of the Year Region 10 Champion in Dressage First Level. In 2009, he again took a Top Five at Second Level.
Full brother, Theme in Baymajor (2002), was also shown under saddle for the first time in August 2005, when he took a third in the prestigious Addis Performance Futurity in Madison. Since then, Major has won a Region 10 Top Five in Sport Horse Under Saddle; and in 2008, he was named Region 11 Champion Sport Horse In-Hand Gelding, both open and amateur.
The youngest of this trio of outstanding young athletes is A Bit of Flash (2003). In addition to several futurity wins, Flash was named Region 10 Top Five Breeding Stallion in 2006; Region 10 Reserve Champion Sport Horse In-Hand Stallion in 2008; and Region 10 Champion Sport Horse In-Hand Stallion in 2009.
